On the site just lately there has been extensive debate on the use of chrome parts on engines. My engine 8617 still intact (kind of) has bread tin rocker box and valve timing information plate chrome. Chrome breather pipe and oil feed line together with side plate and filter piping. Engine is painted in what I call the old BMC duck egg green colour with the gearbox coloured red. This will be the subject for debate later with the group to try and identify the anomalies.
