MG TC 8204 is now licensed in The Netherlands - and up and running!

Dear all, Just after purchasing our "Maegan" TC 8204, I have posted a topic on the fact. It's now more than 8 months ago and my wife and I are happy to tell you: Maegan has a Dutch road license! Wednesday a week ago TC 8204 passed the Dutch (RDW) licensing approval tests and last Saturday the new li...

Re: TC8204: Who knows a source for this large, textile.woven oil filter?

Hi!

Thanks, checked Doug Pelton already (negative) but will check with MOSS (UK). And, if no sources, I better take the spin-on conversion.

Groeten!

TC8204: Who knows a source for this large, textile.woven oil filter?

I have included pictures of the oil filter housing and the actual filter cartridge. I woul like to keep this setup, because it looks good, is what one needs (easy replacing...

Re: MG TC8204 - Front axle beam and Mike Sherrell's remark

Hi, Thanks for your answers. Will look again after cleaning the axle beam., There is a lot (!) of debris in the vertical flanks. So, I could have mistaken debris for letters. Castor is definitely OK, the beam is not flipped, I will take it out still and follow up the tips and measure right/left side...

MG TC8204 - Front axle beam and Mike Sherrell's remark

Hello to you all, While inspecting our recently bought TC8204, I have seen that the front axle beam has the cast-in letters on the FRONT side. Mike Sherrell (TC's Forever!) states that these letters should be at the REAR of the axle beam. Castor, however, is good in TC8204 and the "castor minimisers...

Re: MG TC TC1472 - up and running after 50 years

Hello Chris, Agree, keep it in this state as much as possible, Our TC8204 has been restored around 1995 in the USA according to the previous owner (Bob Mendelsohn). I'm inspecting it now. Found no cracks in the two axle stubs (dye & developer method). But, instead, the right axle has been renewed. T...

Hello Norman,

Thanks for your help!

I stumbled across your restauration (and many more issues) blog. Great pictures of one truly original TC! Well, ok, the air in the tubes is not original anymore.... (-;

Regards and will check Yahoo,
