Re: Whose TC

XPAG9404 (assuming its TC) was originally in TC8771 in Australia. I am not sure that this car has survived.

Re: Foot board color

Maybe your car has EX-U stamped on the ID plate (if original)?
Or maybe our American friends can point out where the bumpers were mounted in case traces remain?

Re: Foot board color

Ian, I guess the right dipping lights would have been swapped out for Australian specification lights as a registration requirement. Or did you mean other lights?

Body colour, or is it grey, at least when this photo was taken (unlike TD and TF which were black).

Re: Past owner of TC 9583 xpag 10357 now 10754

I can only seem to find one family in Australia by that name, Janice and Perry who were active in sport. You can read about them in Wikipedia. Perry came to Australia in 1969 from Washington DC. If he brought the TC over with him then that would explain why I cant find any earlier Australian history...

Re: Past owner of TC 9583 xpag 10357 now 10754

Gday Ian,
Your car was listed with the ATA back in the 1970's I think as being owned by J. Crosswhite of Beacon Hill.
Not sure if this the person who you purchased from?
Cheers

It comes up on the T Register website in their Register as black, in the USA and last updated 2005. They don't divulge owners names however.

Re: Looking for DDH 900

It comes up on the T Register website as chassis (TA) 0943.
Suggest contacting the website to see if they can provide more info.

Re: TC 9796

This does not help you, but TC's 9797 through to TC9802 all came to Australia. They were blue cars with biscuit interiors.

Which US state did the car come from and do you know the number plate/ registration number? Then you could try a letter to the MGCC for that area.

TC gathering, Melbourne Australia.

I attended the TC 70th anniversary gathering on Sunday organised by the T Register of the MGCC of Victoria (see their website) at a park on the Mornington Peninsula. I understand there were 86 TC's present with enough TD's and TF's to top 100 T types. The foreground of the picture shows a cream TC s...

Re: New owner of a 1948 TC

Gene, you gave two chassis numbers in your post; 3903 and 3909. TC3909 was built with engine number XPAG4557 on 28-10-1947 according to Production Records on the T Register website. (TC's 3910,11 & 12 came to Australia).

Re: registration plate in Australia

Gday Phil, Sorry to hear you will not be able to make it to the National Meeting. SA were using 6 figure number plates until the 1960's. I have lists of T types including TF showing these plates, (also for Queensland). Something to do with their smaller population I suspect. In 1966 they switched to...

Gday Phil, Photos: First save the image on your computer, it will need to be shrunk down to an easily usable size (under 300 Kb?). When replying click on Full Editor, then on Browse, which will link to your images then select the image and upload and attach the image. I'm certainly no guru on these ...

Re: registration plate in Australia

Gday Norman, South Australian plates at the time when TC's were new had 6 digits (no letters) usually commencing with '2' at that stage. Down the left side were the letters S A in vertical format. The background was black. Attachment at the front was usually two screws half way down the sides of the...
