Re: MGTC wiring loom
Hi Ray - have you got any details of the plug(s) you used for the main loom to dash connection? I am planning on going the same route when work stops getting in the way!

Re: Progress with TC8485
Looking good Steve. My rear wings were shot and I didn't have replacements when building the tub so am now struggling to get a decent fit on the curves. I am working away for a couple of weeks but will give you a call when I get back so we can compare notes! Cheers, Tim.

Fitting MG TC front wings
Hi all, My new front wings have arrived (they look great!) - the front hole will need opening to clear the bolt on the chassis (covered by the little dome on the front apron). I just want to be sure that I should open this hole - surely you don't remove the bolt and fit it through the wing hole? I h...

Re: TC running board position
Thanks for the pointers. The problem I have is that I have re-skinned the tub, have new rear wings (no holes) and new front wings (no holes) so nothing to work from. I have stepped bolts and one original old rear wing that has the hole referred to so I will use that as a starting point. I have looke...

TC running board position
Hi all, I am trail fitting panels (1949 TC) and could use some advice about positioning of the running boards. What is the gap between the bottom of the door and the top of the board (I guess this will vary but ballpark figure)? What is the gap (in board and outboard) where it meets the rear wing (a...

Re: Chrome plating
Its my TC - Alan recorded the repairs at the time and said he planned to put it on his site. I went the same route as you - looked at their work on YouTube and then had a long chat going through what was required.

Re: Chrome plating
I have used Marque Restore for all of my chrome work. They have several weeks waiting list which is always a good sign. I have been happy with the results. My radiator surround was in very poor condition and they use an outside contractor for larger repairs - this was reshaped pretty well including ...

Instrument panel power socket
Hi all. During the cold weather I am rebuilding my TC instrument panel and would like to know the correct way to fit the red and black power sockets. Is it red on the left or right when viewed from the drivers seat? A google search and looking at the books I have show both options. Cheers. Tim.

Re: TC Windscreen
Hi Chris. Its the hole between the 2 studs on the outer chrome part that doesn't seem to have anything to line up with. The Moss catalogue seems to show this hole but the three holes in the inner bar line up with holes higher up that seem correct. I have had a few 'modification ' holes blanked befor...

TC Windscreen
Hi all. I have had the parts of my TC windscreen re-chromed and have started the rebuild however I have a concern. The threaded bar that sits inside the side post has 4 holes on the original and only 3 on the replacement. Does this indicate I have a TD screen and if so will that be a problem? The br...

MG TC radiator stay bars
Hi all - can anyone let me know the rough length of the radiator stay bars? I have a chance to source some tubing to make them so rough measurements for now would be fine. Thanks in anticipation Cheers. Tim.

Found it under 'Spec 259 chassis' lines 102 and 103 on Tom's excellent spreadsheet. 1/2 inch round head woodscrew and 5BA slotted round head machine screw. Great reference guide.

Re: TC Hardware List
Hi Tom - thanks for this very useful list. I may have missed it but can you confirm the correct screws for the map reading lights and for securing the horn push switch on a TC dashboard? Mine seems to have secured with whatever was at hand by a previous owner.
Cheers. Tim.
