grinded the front wooden rail adjusted the sides in the front , glued them and fixed with one screw after this i took some xps and glued it to the sidepanel grinded them the last step was to glue in 2 xps panels for the roof now i have to wait until all the pu is hard until this step it was much eas...

in the morning i prepared the b pillar on both sides
I took my drill and cut 6 mm deep into the xps
then i glued them in with pu
then i put some wood glue on the wood and pu on the edges of the side parts and put that in place
then i put them in
seom hours later i grinded both side

next steps this morning

i have a good run ??!!

easy to sand because it's really stable the way i did it
so 2 more xps layeres and sanded them after i glued them down
now i need to make some templates so i can check both sides
should be the same

it is such a fun to make it :lol:

I glued the corners to the wood
I checked the positions with a plumb line as you can see
about 1.5 cm inwards on both sides
this is now one of the most important steps
have to check everything if it is hard, hope everything is ok
if not I have to cut away one side

first i made the holes for the fixing points at the b pillar
as you see in the pictures the steel sits perfect in the wood
will glue them with epoxy

in the back i checked if the car stands right

after thinking a bit i decided to glue some plywood together
as you see its curved and not straight
so 5 pices glued together with some funny weight to press it
first try
with my bandsaw i cut some more parts, will glue them also together tomorrow when the first part is dry

perfect weather today
12 Grad outside, no rain
took the car vor a 90 min drive aroud the town
making a little picture session

what you like most ?

the car is running perfect, starts with the first pull, runs straight forward, brakes as it should and so on
realy happy with the car now
