When the gearbox is hot, the oil will be thinner and the synchros will be working harder. It's possible your clutch is worn and not fully disengaging, or possibly just the throw out bearing. Try tightening the adjuster on the clutch arm chain and see if this helps.

They are handed, and they do have an offset to them. You could modify them but I would first look for some other reason why things aren't lining up. They can probably be bent by using heat. I've heard of it being done but have never tried it myself. It's possible one of them is indeed bent.

The TA tank will have an extra fitting on the bottom for the reserve line. If you have only two fittings - one for fuel line and one for drain - then it's a TC tank.

I install them with a paper gasket and a small amount of sealer. The lip seal is interesting, I haven't seen that before. It must be tiny! I've used the o-ring type before however.

A couple of the TCMG guys have them installed because of the Shorrock also. I'll see if I can find out what type they used. The springs on my car are original factory springs, so nice and worn in. They sit pretty flat when the car is fully weighted.
