I could do with a few of these Amal bonnet catches ... pieces, parts and or complete would be great.
I dont need the handles thank you. I'm not 100% sure whether the complete one I have is l/h or r/h ... do you know?

Re: wanted Flasher unit
ah well if youre trying to cover up you electronics in the casing of the relay unit, you will be using and be able to see something that was never originally on a TC ... so why dont you use a perfectly usable and correct period fuse box in or around the battery/cutout box area?

Re: wanted Flasher unit
I presume you mean the 'flasher relay' used primarily on the US TC's and TD's and not the traditional Lucas cylindrical flasher unit? If so they can be found at all the T-type suppliers and are plenty on ebay too ... around £50. Beware, if youre going to use one your wiring loom will need to adapted...

Re: Rear wings and tank fitting.
hi Ray, the question is loaded with lots of ...'depends'! depends on whether you have original wings and if they belonged to that TC? If so locating holes in the wings should or could be so helpful to site them correctly and aligned down the body. Generally I would say that is the most important par...

Re: Oil/temperature gauge
I'm pretty certain that none of the TC's ever had a combined oil/temp gauge fitted at production time until the introduction of the TD; when I'm sure the option to change became available. Since then it makes sense if you can along with a water temp gauge to include them to provide additional awaren...

I just have a couple left now. Please note they are covered in a thin plastic film as in the photo ... shiny aluminium underneath.

Re: 8 inch Headlights
Over the past few years, because of owning Triple-M's and TC, I've come across and used a variety of 8" headlamps, Rotax and Lucas. Generally if I have them I'd use the Lucas L140 bowls along with flat defused lens. Yes the TC was fitted with the LBD140 or MBD140 in the UK, along with U-shaped and o...

Re: Bonnet tape
Hi Ray, i'm pretty sure the tape wraps across the top in one piece; I've always fitted them that way. There is a small benefit in that the tape underneath the top hinge also covers the ends of the screws and perhaps keepng things in place without movement/vibration marks to the shell. Yes, tricky to...

hi, not sure why the question is in the swap meet area of this forum but ... have you checked the positioning of your engine mounts? The brackets the same? they been bashed? holes in the right equal space from chassis to chassis side? Your rubber engine mounts true centrally? ... unlikely to be the ...

um, not thought about modifications made for the Police cars ... well, I suspect that's it as my HTD166 chassis TC2686 was indeed a police car. Anyone got any photos of the police cars engine bays at all?

Re: SU H2 and H4 carbs
Hi ya, The best thing to do for now is to find pictures and diagrams of the 2 carbs to determine and x-ref each the components to see if the AUCnnn are the same. Finding a SU catalogue helps or you can use the Burlen(SU) website to compare. I've just rebuilt my pair of H2 with AUC3478 bodies, but ha...

Re: Oil gauge line routing
the flexi-pipe can be easily fitted incorrectly by putting the wrong sequence of fibre and copper washers on the block. I'd have to check before being 100% to what it is. From the 2-way brass connector through to the gauge can be supported by a number of ways; the key thing I beleive to ensure it is...

Re: Bulkhead identification/confirmation
Thank you for your input. So I'm agreeing with you Tom as it all works for TC and that's why I have it. I've/we have established that there are 3 additional spot holes but why would there be the longer oblong slot hole be there and was this or would this be usable if it was on a TA chassis? All the ...

I thought this would interest us all as its one to ponder over ... What do you think this bulkhead is from? UK paint codes (new)
I've tried searching for this subject without success so may I ask those in the UK ... what are the current paint codes for the TC's that we can buy today? In particular I wish to know the 2-pac and or 'water' based paint code equivalent to 'british-racing-green' ? It woul dbe very useful to collate...
