Re: Bolt for the Starter MGTC
Hi Uwe, I think you may need to explain your issue a little clearer as I'm not sure which bolt you are referring too as there is only ONE cable from the starter motor to the dashboard !

Re: WANTED TC headlight lens
depends if you want the lens for L140's, MB140's or MBD140's ... flat, slightly domed, domed, cats-eye, U-shaped, recessed or reduced!

Re: Rear wing alignment.
this was always going to be the hardest decision to make on new body refit Ray. The answer really is ... 'depends'! It depends on if you're happy with the side view of the front-wing, runners and then the rear wings fit? It all has to work together as each car will have its issues in fitting correct...

Re: Original type of Wing fixings
Ray, there isn't really one answer to this question to be honest, it depends. If you want original then it wont be the best job, nor would it be the most secure! The running board fitting provide the greatest variant into how to fit them well; with screws and or bolts into the ash wood or through it...

Hi Ray, I'll send you a few photos later today showing you the brackets ... basically there shouldnt be anything showing through the bracket on top/outer surface. It should be flush.

Re: 8 inch Headlights
to get the bolt out you have to bend the tab backwards, not easy as its quite thick and does need a bit of force/leverage again, the coverage of these bases depends on its application to which vehicle a L140 is fitted too. Generally the pre-war had the bowl/bases painted body colour with the TC's fu...

Re: 8 inch Headlights
Am i right in thinking there's a few wires wrong in the responses to the questions? The W shaped spring clips don't hold the reflector in at all; spring clips hold lens into to the rear of chromed rim ... often 3 for 7" and 4 for the 8"+ rims. The reflectors are inserted into the bowl by aligning th...

Re: Best sources for TC interior kits
i think what you have shown Ray, is the fact that there is no 'one fit all' and that new body tubs, new doors then mixed with old doors and old bodies all contribute to a variety of possible fittings. Generally you can always cut down a door card to make it smaller and to map the shape of your door,...

Re: MG TC colour shade/s
thanks for the pictures guys, this is the type of colour green I'm after as can be seen on my TC 20+ years ago. I dont have any reference to that colour, hence my request to determine the RAL nnnn number. The darker BRG is my desire but not RAL6009 and RAL6005 appears to be too light on my tests! TC...

MG TC colour shade/s
I'm about to source and order my paint. I dont have any original colour to check against so wanted to see what green colours people have used ... I'm after a dark green and have tested RAL6005 BRG and RAL6009 Fir Green. The former appears too light and the latter too much like Army/Jeep green ... ha...

Re: Rear wings and tank fitting.
wow that tank has been played with hasn't it ... it bit too much for my liking! You'll have to make the call to whether its ever going to last, even if it doesnt leak now! I'd also question that tank is going to be square enough or flat enough to show NO distortion? May be a good idea to get a...
