Those green seats look like "faded to yellowish green" Connolly Celstra leather that was used by MG from 1932 through late TD production..
I have an original set in the shop now, TC1351, the same. Early TC seat design, seatback to the floor and the early seat bottoms.

No, there is a different spec book for each car. The copies I have for TA and TB are incomplete. The TC one is missing some pages but not many. TC and TD are essentially complete.
We can thank Dick Knudson for his archeological digging, and convincing the powers to let him photocopy all of these.

Get a copy of Specification 259. It tells you all you need to know about hardware and lots of other stuff.

Spec 259 lists:
8 pcs 2BA x 3/8" round head screw
8 pcs 2BA hex plain nut
8 pcs 3/16" internal shakeproof washer.

Spec 259 lists Shelley double lift jack and a Shelley double lift jack handle. This is a screw type jack.

No, as a live circuit needs to be connected to both ground and live. The cover is connected only to the ground (the base), and the live feed is the purple wire that feeds the bottom point of the light bulb.
