Re: XPAG oil pump rebuild
Hmm'm I just finished rebuilding my TC pump with new gears and a new spindle. I didn't have that problem. Yup, you got it, Wings are fenders, Boot is trunk, windscreen is windshield, so on and so forth, I think there is an old listing somewhere in the forum achieves on Brit to Yank terms and definitions.
Maybe someone will find it and repost...

Re: How to properly use the wire strap shown

Re: How to properly use the wire strap shown
See the pic below for proper application of the cable strap. You first will wrap the strap around the cable and draw it tight by threading the free end "tail" back through the innermost rectangular hole. Now wrap the strap around the frame tube and feed the tail of the strap through the outermost r...

Re: Rebuilding TC5560
I did a quick check of FTFU, Moss, Abingdon Spares, Naylor Bros, Anglio and Rimmer. No one offers gaskets or the TC door handles. TD yes, but they are different handles. Not a bad idea but I think you'll have to make your own out of thin rubber or poly film stock....

Re: Radiator Brace...Which way round?
As Steve said: The mount is a rubber grommet which is surrounded by a metal band. One grommet and band go above the bracket and one below, followed by a large washer and then a nut and a locking nut. I believe the nuts are 3/8 BSF - double nutted or a lock nut is good. As far as one can tell, the gr...

Re: Radiator Brace...Which way round?
Functionally, it makes no difference as the extension headlight cradle mounting hole will end up the same anyway.

Re: Fan to water pump spacer
My TC 5141 does not have the spacer block. Both of my TD's did have it however. My spare XPAG engine out of a '53 TD has it also.

Re: Old topic on tub construction but new for me
Mike, Just a thought but have you talked with Craig Seabrook on this matter? I've always found him very helpful and willing to offer his sage advice. Also, Doug Pelton in Mesa, AZ is a good source as well. He has built numerous TC tubs and offers similar services that Craig does. I purchased my TC ...
