Re: Installing Main Bearings

You may be in for a surprise. The big end of the rods will not fit down the piston bore. I push the pistons through without the rings on from the bottom side. Install the crank. Put the rings on the piston and push down to connect to the crank. Others have worked pistons past the crank from the bott...

Re: TC sump baffles

What I found was that the TC oil pickup is too high off the bottom of the pan. I modified my TC pickup to use a TD pickup I got from Bob G. so I was able to use all the oil in the pan. Also added a baffle. Have pictures somewhere but not sure. On a phone? In a camera? On a computer? If I come across...

Re: TD piston replacement

The pistons need to go in through the bottom as the big end of the rod will not fit in the cylinder bore. As above, remove the head so you could at least give the bores a quick hone for the new rings. What I have done is put the pistons in through the bottom, pushed them part out the top, put the ri...

Re: Question for anyone driving a lightweight (aluminum) T

I don't have a light weight Aluminum TC do have a TC I race that is much lighter then a stock TC. What I did was take the very bottom spring off and put in on top of the springs under the axle. Lowered the car a little and softer rear which the car needed

I have always used STP to prime the pump. Is nice an thick so will stay in the pump and has a lot of zinc in it which our old cars like. Never had any issues getting a prime this way.

Re: Parts List: TC5086

I would be interested in some of the parts but as a rule I don't respond to ads without pricing. As to Steve's comments. This car hobby is not about making money but enjoying. If you want to build an electric TC go for it. I never look at cars advertised as matching number or if from Calif "Black Pl...
