TC on e-bay (UK Listing)

Post by SteveW » Sun Feb 16, 2020 3:05 am

First of all, I'm not considering buying this, I'm just curious.

There is a red 1948 TC currently listed on e-bay in the UK (the advertisment title is "MG TC 1948"). It has a buy it now price of £5,200, which you would think would mean that it would sell quite easily given the apparent condition in the picture. However, this has been listed several times over intervals of several months, with the advertisment sometimes disappearing quite quickly, and has not sold. Does anyone know anything about this as it just seems a little odd, especially as the buy it now price is listed in a photograph and not formally through the e-bay system and there is no description of the car in the advert.

P.S. The seller seems to also be advertising literally hundreds of other cars in the same way, many of which are classics, including a Ford Capri 2.9 Cosworth currently bidding at £65,900 (for UK viewers think Bodie in the Professionals)
