TC Floorboards Diagram?

Post by loustaller » Mon Jul 06, 2020 8:24 pm

Is there anywhere online or in print a detailed diagram for the TC's wooden floorboards? Thanks!

The only diagram I find in TC's Forever is on page 161 which has only the overall length and width. Is it elsewhere in the book or might it be in TC's Forever More?

Yes, Mike gives dimensions for virtually everything else, but not the floorboards. Page 161 simply shows how the parts can be cut out from an 8' x 4' sheet.
Well today 'i unearthed the original floorboards from TC0978 which I removed during the first rebuild in 1970, when the car was a mere 24 years old! I will photograph them tomorrow to show the underside detail, and take more measurements.
In those days, inches would have been used (apart from the XPAG of course which is another story!) and mine measure 48-1/2" x 18-1/2", only a few mm different to Mike's.

Check out what's now on the Vintage British Engine Swap page on Facebook. Luigi measured his floorboards and created a PDF file with every dimension! Incredible! Perfect for my needs.

Send it in (with his permission) and we will post it in the technical section. Most people here seem to not be on Facebook.
