Putting TC Wheels on TD

I'm putting 1948 TC wheels, on my 1952 TD. will the TC wheels fit the TF Hubs?
I was told that a1965 MGB or earlier will fit, that will give me front disc brakes witch would be a + and cheaper
dose anyone know ? or tried this?
