Lots of 7/8” master cylinders but all only single action. Can one asume half the bore if one goes for a dual action cylinder. Surely half the volume will have to go to 2 slaves and half to the other 2. Could improve the feel of the brakes because the smaller the master the higher the pressure with the same force ????????

Smaller bore means more power but longer pedal travel. Two bores half the size should produce the same power as one bore, but you may run into proportioning issues since the front brakes do most of the stopping. So a metering valve might become necessary unless you figure out a custom bore size front versus rear. If it were me, I'd just fit an original and forget about it.

Just pulled off the leopard skin seat cover and found what I think must be the original seat cover.

A Red car was suppose to have Beige seats and it has 22 strips.

Pitty the wood is totally rotten, especially the lower bits, but it is a good template.

So between load shedding and working on the harness and having power to use my grinder, this is my version of the Battery Positive Cable to starter motor clamp.

Now what is the correct routing, does the cable go to the side of the starter?

Or on top and behind the steering shaft?

No load shedding planned for today, but I only found that out this morning so already planned load shedding jobs like bending the 3mm ply to form the top of my seat base. Wet rag has been on the play since yesterday. Not sure I will get it to 100% follow the profile of the side planks, but giving it a good go.

Almost feel sacroiliac to hide all those beautiful braided wires, but need to get the harness in before I fit the floor or the dash.

I have the same thing in front of me, but I will protect the individual circuits with fuse and relay
pity that the beautiful cables are then wrapped and you hardly see any of it

in the moment i read lucas section 6 vehicle wirinig circuits
translate it with google and my school english and make a word document from it in german ;-)
its easyer to understand it for me, learning english and learning vehicle wiring ;-)
Best Regards
Franz

Post a link to it please.

I am also adding more fuses. Relays only to work the indicators/stop lights. I do not want to add indicators lights at the back so using the brake lights.

Thanks, very informative, especially page 11. That explains/show which wires has permanent power and which only once the ignition is turned on.

Great info, also the one on how the wiring behind the dash must look.

Will print all the pics and stick them together to form the whole dash in one.

Noooooo

I wish, but it is cheep enough to have it cut. I spend the week day evenings drawing up the parts and then pick them up about a week later, BUT...

I need to have some sizes.

Anybody had a chance to measure their bonnet striker/catch plates? ;)

Hi Herman,

My bonnet strikers are still on my front wings which are buried deep in the roof space of my garage. I'll see if I get the chance to dig them out at the weekend and take some measurements. I'm fairly sure that they are the originals. Were you wanting the dimensions of the big seat back hinge and slot things or was that someone else?

Steve

So my car also had some funny reproductions for the seat Backres adjuster brackets that goes on the rear wheel arches.

Got this almost square on pic, so drew a 10 x 10 mm grid onto it and created my own CAD drawing for Mr Lazer cutter.

And this is what I got.

Now all tigged up and ready to go to the chromer with my grill.
