TC Radiator hose leaks

Jeff, get a small wire wheel that you could stick on a drill and clean it out. As far as cleaning the water passages, I would take all the hoses off and stick a garden hose up top and flush till clear and that should give you sufficient pressure to clean this out. Don't worry about getting things wet and you really don't need a pressure washer.

BTW, on the head gasket in the attached photo, do I need to peel the cardboard or just install as is?

Car is back running!!!

Now I get to remove, clean and possibly replace the water pipcock coming from the block. Never leaked before I turned it to drain block water, now it drips. GRR. Have bucket under car and will see what the loss rate is, which will determine when I replace or fix it. Sheesh it never ends.

This is what old cars are about, get used to it. Take it apart and clean it up, gently wire brush the pieces, grease it up with anti seize and put it back together, it will be fine.

Make sure you remove ALL the core plugs and clean the gunk out. OK, maybe leave the one at rear of the block. Core plugs are 35 and 48 mm diameter, as others have said, do NOT use 1-7/8" core plugs, they will not expand enough. Bob, CANADA

Yea I know Stephen, Just would have been nice to know when I had the side of the engine removed. Hopefully I can manage to remove the pipcock without too much disassembly.
