MG TA CJR# cutout

Post by martinjames » Tue May 22, 2018 7:27 pm

Hi

My 1937 TA project came with a CJR3 cutout with no wires attached.

Can any TA owner possibly unbolt their Cutout and post a photo of the the wires attached to the cutout back to give me some idea of how it should look. The cardboard diagram of what goes where is missing and I have tried deciphering the photo of one on Bill Davis's website but because of it's age and exposure to oil, this is dificult. I have a new wiring loom to install.

Cheers

Hello Martin,
Here's a better graphic of the CJR3 card you refer to that fits underneath the control box.

Assuming your new wiring harness is color coded as original use the TA Owner's Manual for correct placement of the wires and you should be okay.

If you have further questions email me directly, please.

Cheers and best of luck,

Hi Bill
Sorry for the delay in thanking you for your help. Copied the card onto heavy brown card and the car is now wired up. Looks very neat.
Cheers

Does anyone know where to obtain, or details of how to make, the two resistor coils for the CJR3? Is there a supplier for stock resistance wire?
