Coil

Post by lasloja » Tue Jun 26, 2018 6:08 pm

Driving home the TC died. it has gas. Checked the spark, no spark. Checked the wire from the coil to distributor, no spark. So I thinK it is the coil. Can I use a negative grounded coil form an old car and will it work for the positive grounded MG? If I can confirm the bad coil I will get a replacement form Moss. I am trying to get the car ready for a rally Sunday. So I need help. Thank you in advance for all your help/

Yes, just reverse the connections. It will work either way, but you'll get a slightly stronger spark if the polarity is connected correctly. Original coils were simply marked CB and SW rather than + and -.
