Hi Gene, you've used the URL tag which makes links. Instead, use the IMG tag to display web images.

It should look like this, only without the spaces:

Everything I have tried works so far. Looks good (and a little familiar)
Big suggestion I would make is a way to deal with adding pictures. Many people will try to upload pictures saved from their camera, phone, etc, but the file is probably too large. A large portion of the group will not know (or like me, have trouble remembering) how to downsize. administrators are going to get LOTS of queries. I suggest you add a very obvious step by step instruction or link on the page.

Nit picking- the borders are a nice touch with the walnut burl, but many members with failing eyesight would probably trade larger body for smaller side borders seem. My guess is that you are a younger member of the group

edit
obviously I did not check your new feature post. nice.

I've been considering changing the background. It's a little busy. I liked the idea at first because it looks like a burl wood dashboard. Not entirely convinced on the header image yet, either.

I like the burl actually. And if the text is too small then you should be able to set your browser view to zoom in. In fact I just tried that and it zoomed in to the point it filled the window with the center section and the burl was out of view unless I scrolled side to side. The text was larger that way.
Here is my normal view

And here is it zoomed in

I like the zoom feature better than changing text size because it retains the formatting of the site you're viewing. On a PC all you need to do is hold the Control Key and roll the middle mouse button. Can't remember the key on a Mac. Making this site wider is actually a really big deal, unfortunately. But I can look into it if that's what people want.

Making it wider could be an issue with those that have smaller computer screens so I think what you have set now is fine.

As far as as zooming in or out it probably depends on what browser you use. With my Mac and both Firefox or Safari browsers it is just the Command and the plus or minus keys to zoom in and out. However on the Firefox I can also use the Control key and the smart mouse (but that does not work on Safari).

That's the main reason that the site is on the narrow side. I figure the membership will be a little older, so computers perhaps also a bit older and screen resolutions lowered a bit. But if people want it wider then it can be done. We could always start a poll. The forum does allow voting polls within posts, you know. ;)

I don't mind the frame (bad eyes and all)...gives the site *class*.

Jim, you are not the only one to learn that here; or I knew it and forgot, then probably learned it again and forgot, and again...

Steve, many thanks for the great MG-TABC site. Your added features are terrific. I fully appreciate all your hard work to make such a professional web site for or members.
