Hello
the last picture from Carl i have done it in other way
i think much easyer
i took only the guide pin with a little round placeholder, about 5 mm high so it is not so high
and not so shaky
then i press the guide pin in so that the end is 2 mm inside the bush,
in this position the guide pin stay still and doesn t come out
then i change and take the link to press it in
like this you don t need a press machine,
you can do it with a normal vice
Best Regards
Franz

Hello
wonderful weather in sprintime
so today first time to start the car,
taken off the air cleaner and put some starting spray in the carburettor
so the car starts with the first round of the starter

with some smoke from the exhaust i drove the car out the cellar garage at home
one round around the block

i will drive some more kilometers so the car is warm
then i will change all the oil in the engine the gearbox and the differential in the back

got enough oil last week, but never done it before and don t know exactly how much to fill in

i have xpag engine from TD so i looked to the workshop manual

how much oil i need for the gearbox = 1,25 pint = 710 ml SAE 90
how much for the differential in the back = 2,25 pint = 1280 m l SAE 90/b]

the overhauled old headlights are now also installed, I love them
The brake drums are now painted black, before they were silver, so the chrome of the wheels looks better

Franz-
Looking good. Always best to store a car with freshly changed engine oil in it. Change the oil one drive before it will be stored. Makes a big difference, in the long run. Same goes for other oils, and the coolant mix.

Actually, we urgently need a curfew here in Germany, but when I think of my TA in the garage, I cry
finally the sun and I can't drive

but as a doctor, I can make house calls in hazmat suits
looks funny

always making the best from the situation
