The previous owner was Ian Lloyd who purchased the car in1981 in a poor state of repair, He started to have the car completely rebuilt, new body, wings, doors new Mohair hood, all chrome redone, the interior woodwork was refinished by Herr Poppensieker, who was a friend of Ians'. I new of the car several years ago, but as Ians' health was failing I realised that he would never finish the car, and after much haggling I bought the car in October 1999. After collecting the car my wife and I finished the Interior trim with new carpets etc. Our maiden trip was to the MG car club meeting at Brooklands in the Spring of 2000, Later we went to Silverstone and the Isle of Wight that year, I had had some problems with the VA engine fitted to the car, so at the end of the year I decided to take it out for a complete overhaul, which I did over the winter. This improved the car considerably, I could now cruise easily at around 100 kph, Since then I have overhauled the Steering box and tried to stop the gearbox jumping out of 3rd gear, I have just got another box to try, but have not had time to fit it yet.
