XPAG Crank
Hi all - has anyone got any experience of installing a crank with a 0.060" regrind? The crank on my engine has 2 cracks and the only replacement I can find without buying new is as above. Cheers. Tim.

Hi - can someone please confirm the thread size for the front and rear wheel cylinders please? I am talking about what anchors the cylinder to the back plate. Thanks. Tim.

XPAG con rods
I have stripped down my engine as part of my TC restoration and have found the crank is cracked in 2 places (magnaflux crack testing revealed these). I understand that I will have to replace the crank but want to be sure I have the correct con rods - my engine is made up of odds and ends. Does anyon...

Re: TC identification
Thanks Tom. We have ultrasound NDT at work so that would be no problem. I have a spare XPAG block but it came with no bearing caps so not much use at present.

Re: TC identification
Thanks Tom. If I wanted to build it as a 1250cc would the crank in this type of engine be ok?

Re: TC Differential housing
Has anyone done the Morris Minor diff conversion? I am progressing and will post an update when I have things sorted but in the meantime does anyone know the best place to mount a breather? I have bought a Morris one but it looks rubbish so will probably go with a brass one for a Land Rover (I have ...

Nuts and bolts
Evening all. Does anyone know the correct bolts for fitting the handbrake brackets to the chassis? When looking through the bits I got with the car I have found four 5/16 BSF bolts 1" long that have locking nuts and are drill for split pins - any idea what these are for? Thanks. Tim.

Re: TC Differential housing
Hi Norman. Current plan is to go down both routes. I will get the original housing repaired more long term if the Morris Minor modification works out. I will keep everyone posted. Cheers. Tim.

Re: TC Differential housing
Thanks Searunner. When you say reduce the contour by 2mm do you mean where the half shafts have to pass through into the gears?

Re: TC Differential housing
Thanks Norman, I had seen the article about the Morris 4.55 swap but missed the repair one. The break on the repair one is identical to how mine has failed so may look into this if I cant find a replacement housing - Norman (frenchblatter) did suggest if I could repair it. How easy was it to find a ...

Re: TC Differential housing
Hi Norman, unfortunately the bearing shaft has completely broken off so I don't see how it could be repaired with any confidence. Thanks Tim - I would rather keep any modifications to a minimum if for nothing else but cost. The Morris Minor ration of 4.55 :1 seems feasible but I am holding out for a...

TC Differential housing
Good evening all, I have just started to strip down the back axle on my TC and have found the differential housing is broken. This is probably the reason the car was taken off the road before becoming an abandoned project. Two questions: does anyone in the UK have a differential housing they would b...

Re: Body tub bracket TC
Hi Ian. There should be a bracket, it has 3 rivets on to the inner wheel arch and 5 screws on to the wood section where it surrounds the hole that gives access to the top hinge bolts.
