TC9066

Post by Will » Tue Nov 22, 2022 12:32 pm

Hello,
New member from Vancouver Island.
Previous local owner reported owning the car over 40 years having purchased is in Powell River, BC. Prior to this it seems to have been an Australian export, originally green exterior and interior. Still shows green under the scuttle. At some point prior to the last owners acquisition it was repainted red and a tan interion fitted.
Now in the process of familiarizing myself with the car, carrying out maintenance and general fettling.
So nice to be working on something again that i understand!

Welcome, Will! I noticed your car is unknown to the TC provenance list. It would be great to add it, if you want to email the registrar. See: http://www.tcmotoringguild.org/literatu ... e_List.pdf

Jeff,
That’s an amazing reply and much appreciated.
Any chance that you heard of Tom King? His signature dated 1971 is in one of the headlight buckets.
Could these rear lights be of Australian origins?

The rear turn lamps are fairly common period aftermarket items. They were often used on lorries and such in England, and I suppose could have been used the same way in Australia. They were popular in the 50's and 60's on TCs and I'm sure on other vehicles as well.
