Instrument panel power socket

Post by timandgerda » Tue Jan 12, 2021 4:21 am

Hi all. During the cold weather I am rebuilding my TC instrument panel and would like to know the correct way to fit the red and black power sockets. Is it red on the left or right when viewed from the drivers seat? A google search and looking at the books I have show both options. Cheers. Tim.

Factory photos show:
TB and early TCs have the black socket on the right. Mid to late TCs have the black socket on the left.

It's like some cruel joke by M.G. on its customers. Good thing there were no polarity sensitive electronics back then like we have today.
