Grease fitting that I have not seen before

Hello all,
I have TC 6515, late 1948 production, and it has a grease fitting on both sides to grease the rear spring where it attaches to the chassis. I had a 1949 and 1947 and do not recall this on either one. Was this standard for TC's and my other two simply lost the whole grease fitting and tubing to the spring ?

Hard to see but that looks like the greaser for the hand brake cable. They are often removed when aftermarket cables are installed, which have nipples installed directly on the cable housing. They do the same thing, but the originals don't require you to crawl under the car.

May I just comment to the fact that these pipes are NOT greasing nipples but are indeed oiling nipples!
The mistake has been done many a time and thats why they glue-up and are inaffective. Oil not grease ... throw back from theTriple-m MG's like my D-type and F-types.
The old ones may look like grease but its just old mineral oil semi-disintergrating.
Yes they will leak and drip so be warned. Try using a good nipple connection on the pump which can force the all the way ... before it decides to return another day.

The TC lubrication chart recommends Duckhams "ZNOL" KG grease as the handbrake cable lubricant.

I don't know what the modern equivalent is but I'm presuming it's a light grease.

Thank you gentleman for the replies ! My two previous TC's had lost their original grease fittings so #6515's were new to me. Should have remembered they were noted on the lubrication chart. Think I know what might work perfectly for them - the same light grease I use in my Healey's steering box, John Deere Cornhead lubricant used in their farming equipment. It's used by a lot of us in the Healey world as you can actually get it into the steering box.
