Having to get a new hood frame for my car (5771) and wanted to ask if anyone can shed some light on the differences in fit/function of the early (2 bow) versus late (cantilever) hood frames? According to the FTFU webshop, the cantilever style frame is correct for my car as it’s used from s/n 5600 on but I don’t see anyone else who offers that frame and was curious if everyone just uses the early style one and if so, for what reasons? Does the cantilever frame make things more fiddly in use or installation? Does it change the look of the hood when erected and does it afford more headroom (not that there’s much to begin with)? Just wondering if it’s worth the slight extra cost for sake of correctness or if I should just stick with the early type. Thanks in advance!
