Paint match

Post by MDeR » Tue Apr 09, 2024 12:33 pm

Greetings!
Years ago I painted TC 9861 with acrylic lacquer Ditzler/PPG 71993 "Madder Red". Not only is lacquer no longer available, I can't find a company that can match the color even with the Dupont or RM codes. Looking for a pint or quart or even spray cans. It will probably have to be a single stage urethane.
Any thoughts?
Michael

I have bought original colors from TCPglobal.com and they have lacquer.
Their Auto Color Library has color charts and listings for 1948-49 Morris, and on the last page it lists MG.
Their web site is hard to use. Click on Restoration Shop for the types of paint they supply.
