I have a mostly complete TA engine and gearbox here that went through a house fire (not my house). Anything aluminum is gone. The parts cooled naturally, without water, but I still don't think I'd trust any steel parts like crank, etc without getting them professionally checked. The block itself may have shrunk, but I'm not sure. It makes a really great art / conversation piece but I don't know if it can be resurrected or not. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email. Located in Southern California.
You can see the block in the photo below. Gearbox, clutch, head, etc are all there as well. Photos available upon request.
UPDATE: ENGINE IS TAKEN - GEARBOX AND FLYWHEEL STILL AVAILABLE
