If any of you have Tickfords, SAs, VAs or WAs, could you measure the length of the door handle? Trying to figure out what I have. TAs are 3 1/4, TC 3 1/2. At least that's what mine are. But the mystery ones are 4 and five inches respectively.
Allan, TA TC, no bigger!

Mystery MG handles

The pictured handles were part of a bunch of parts from a friend who had restored a Tickford TB.
As you can see, they are five inches long and one has a missing lock.
Any ideas? Probably VA SA or WA I would think.

Steering wheel conundrum
Trying to install a wheel to the steering shaft. Slides on fine, but the hub will not clamp onto the shaft. It of course has the split where the bolt can pull together the two sides. Broke two bolts securing with no result. We're thinking, hardened aluminium of the hub? Perhaps an 8 strength bo...

Spark(ing) Plugs
What's the latest thinking on plug types? I have been using NGK BP6HS. One has failed, so I am looking around. My engine is a 1500 cc sleeved XPAG with a mild Crane cam, 1 1/2 SUs, mild head shaving. Plugs are black and sooty, but I am running a bit rich. Engine has 110 miles so far. Allan Chal...

TA jack placement
I haven't seen anything in literature about how the jack is secured in the car. I am using a TC jack with longer handles - the handles don't fit well. Also, what else goes under the rubber trays? Any pictures?

Re: TA engine and trans
More info and advice request: I'd like to throw out a question for folks about my engine and trans. I have installed an XPAG sleeved to 1500, along with a TC trans. I thought I was going to keep the engine for a future owner, but it's not likely someone would want to switch. The questions: Should I ...

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - been selling stuff.
Steve, that would be cool! I have a set of outside laced wheels on Ebay right now. Gene bought the first set. How did I get so many? Ya live long enough ya collect stuff.
The TA has a 1500 sleeved XPAG residing.

TA engine and trans
Who is the Kansas City chap selling TA engine & trans bits? Pricey lot.
I have decided that I don't really need my TA engine & trans, but unsure how to sell. Probably in bits because the crank and block are very unwell.
Any thoughts?

I dearly hope so. My TA is registered in California by the engine #. I am not putting that engine in it. My original frame has been given to Martin Hveem (he is better able to fix its problems) who is doing a splendid, I am sure, resto on a TA Tickford. I have a frame that came from who knows where....
