The TC Tree
We got our own tree yesterday at the Queen's English car show. It was probably the most popular spot with hundreds of people coming through asking about the cars. I didn't get to see anything else because we were too busy answering questions. Not bad for 80 year old cars!
Re: The TC Tree
Talking of trees; an ancient Oak in Enfield, North London was recently cut down on the advice of a "Health and Safety" official. The tree may have been there for 500 years. AS it happens, the tree was not dead or dying and now attempts are being made to save what's left of it.

Re: The TC Tree
They did something similar here. Our town is actually named for the ancient coastal oak trees but they still cut down one of the largest, most majestic trees in the area claiming it was diseased and a danger, despite several experts saying there was nothing wrong with it. Coincidentally, just after they cut it down the parking lot for a shopping center was expanded.
And I did park my TC under that tree many times!

But then there is the tree that should come down before it falls down.
This is an oak about 5 foot diameter at the base.
I suppose it was there when Indiana was the frontier part of Pennsylvania colony.
The upper part of this one came down on my neighbor's house.
Later on there were 1000 insects around it carrying picket signs saying we want our restaurant.
But they ran away when the woodpeckers came and said WE want OUR restaurant.
