What is the procedure for adjusting (shims) for a “Bishop” steering box “End Cover”? This is on a 1936 MG TA. I’m familiar with the top cover shim adjustment, but just learned of the End cover adjustment and have been unable to find much info, what am I looking to accomplish with this adjustment? Rod
Sadly I'm selling my TA. At 78 years young I have found that I am in need of too much assistance in getting out of it. :( So it is in the final two days of auction at "Bring a trailer" https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1938-mg-ta-3/?utm_source=transactionalemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=bat_bid...
Thanks for the response, I think I will send both front cylinders to "White Post Restorations' and not have to deal with cobbing some fittings/hoses together to make the "c" cylinders work. Anybody have any experience with "White post"
Guy's, Thanks for the responses, they are much appreciated. So far I have got 2 books, I'm not sure if the Bently book (the black one) is the same one recommended by Steve?
Hi all,
I'm a new MGTA owner and have been searching for a dip stick on the car, can't find it.

We cannot guarantee them for your application." Marcel Sereboff Retail Sales Direct: 805-679-7255 | Fax: 805-6...

The tub size variations n is the distance between the edge of the tub between the door hinges, and it isn’t 4 inches as reported in the press revi...
Hi Rod, welcome to the wonderful world of early MGs! I'm also a Model T owner, with a '25 Roadster Pickup. The TA will be a very different animal for sure. Looks like you bought a gorgeous example, too. The lighter shade of red looks a lot like my TC. Hi Steve, I think we may have conversed online ...
Yup, you got it, Wings are fenders, Boot is trunk, windscreen is windshield, so on and so forth, I think there is an old listing somewhere in the forum achieves on Brit to Yank terms and definitions. Maybe someone will find it and repost... Thanks Marv, that clears up a few wild guesses I've had.
thought I'd introduce myself. I recently purchased the below TA and am awaiting it's delivery sometime this week. I've never owned a MG before (I'm mostly a Model T ford guy) so I'm going to have a steep learning curve in the coming months. The car's restoration was supposedly completed in 2017, so ...
